I love my child’s school photo cause I love my child. ? My kid thought the photographer was making them tilt their head too much a weird direction. Also it takes forever for the photos to get developed and mailed out. Also Bell Photography has been doing school photos for forever so there’s not really another choice. But the photos are always high quality.

Okay y'all. I am a professional photographer myself - have been for almost a decade. I don't expect much from school pictures, but this is so... ugh. The true carelessness of these photographers baffles me. The picture on the left is the first photo and the picture on the right is the 'retake' - a complete shock photo if you will. It takes TWO seconds to say "oops - smile for me!". I am absolutely baffled. My daughter is not stubborn at picture taking. When I showed her the picture, she said "WHAT! I smiled?!". So basically, the photographer lost the shot and didn't try to snap a better photo (their fault). This is unprofessional and completely careless.

My son said he was nervous, which translates in the picture… we got a grimace rather than a smile. I understand that’s sometimes beyond control, but with past studios, they have worked with the kids to ensure they are comfortable and work to capture a great image.

I also wish the orders weren’t printed until after retakes… so that if we wanted to choose the second picture, we would have that option. I suppose we can pay (again) for retakes but I wish I was confident that we’d have a better outcome.

Awful, unprofessional and disappointing. I have never had a good experience when Bell is hired to take my kids school or sports photos. Untrained and sloppy “photographers” that spend 15 seconds per kid and move them through like an assembly line. My daughter’s Senior class photos are the most disappointing yet. Completely unusable. There are streaks on her face from the printing, she looks like she wasnt even sitting still and half in tears when they took the picture. I will be seeking a refund and hiring a real photographer. I’ve never had a problem with the other school photo company, but I now have 3 years of pictures (10, 11, and 12th grade) we cannot display because they’re so terrible. I’m heartbroken

The picture is perfect except it wasn’t lit properly so my daughter’s hair has no detail & it is black not brown. The actual photo paper quality is poor as well. The company that was used in her former school seemed to have a better print quality.

My daughters school has switched to Bell Photography and i would like to share my appreciation on the customer service and accommodation that i have received.
I collect the yearly photo as a magnet with out any boarders, bells or whistles and ran into issues utilizing the online portal in an attempt to make my order realizing that Not Having Additional Bells and Whistle Added to the photo Wasnt Actually An Option Online...becoming my problem.
Making the call to Bell, I was handled very well by customer service and the accommodations to my order had been made and placed, then later received promptly but unfortunately with dates and boarders to my surprise.. Making that call once again speaking with Stacy where she helped to reorder my magnets and assured her personal confirmation once the magnets are made before shipping out with no added stress or costs, My problems were solved and i am very appreciative that my needs have been met and accommodated with out any hassle. *

I understand that there are a lot of kids needing pictures taken and it would be tedious for the photographer to help make each subject comfortable. I am, however, still disappointed that out of the three times my daughter has had her photo taken with Bell they haven’t been able to catch a genuine smile. Each time it has felt really forced and uncomfortable. It is obvious that it’s not a normal smile and none of the photographers try to get a real one.

My son’s eye are pretty much closed in his pictures. I’m really mad about it considering the photographer can SEE the picture RIGHT THEN and can RETAKE it right then. It’s really annoying and frustrating that now we have to deal with doing retake day. Get your act together!! My niece got pics from Bell 2 years ago and her eyes were pretty much closed too, and her head was tilted way far back. Totally photographers fault. She DIED before retakes and those are the LAST school pictures we have of her. If you see a student with their eyes closed, just RETAKE the dang picture!!!
