The studio is good.

I made the last minute phone call to the owner, almost the the last day before the dead line to submit the recording for my daughter's piano competition. And the studio made it happen. Ms. Shantih is nice and professional. The photographer is very patient.

And my child turned out winning the 3rd place in her group although she's the youngest in the group. I am so glad that I found the studio at the last minute.

The studio(s)
There seems to be nothing wrong with studio A. Meant for live recording and bands.

studio B- Studio B is a small closet recording area with the rest used for sitting space and an office. Which the owner will come and use during your session (which is not in the contract/ wasn’t at the time) making it nearly impossible to record. The owner will also leave the door open allowing outside noise to travel in thus complicating a limited 3 hour session. The owner will not remove herself if you ask, she would rather become cantankerous and tell you “that’s her office she can do as she pleases”, which again is not in any kind of contact (at the time)The equipment needs updating because it always crashes or it’s just not cleared properly.

Studio C- is a complete joke. There are no plug ins, the computer always crashes, Brian (who os supposed to run/ co-own this studio) has more pride in the fact that all of his Apple decides are connected rather than is engineering system. Should anything go wrong with the system you will be blamed for not asking for help sooner or an untrained engineer for not knowing what to do.

The engineers
If you find yourself here GO TO JUSTIN OR TROY. Anyone else is a waist of time, they hardly listen and want to have creative liberties without getting the artist comfortable.
This studio runs through engineers like water… but it makes sense once you’re there.

The owner.
She seems to be a very quiet woman, but do-not hold her feet to the fire, boy. She does not follow her own contacts and the outlines there in. She will become enraged, uncooperative, uncomfortable, and down right unprofessional, if you speak up against something wrong. With the way she speaks to people when shes in the wrong and cannot justify it, is in itself unjustifiable. Over all, this studio, unless this is a hobby, will drain money from you instead of enhancing what you are trying to do.

Overall if I could give 0 stars I would and just leave this review.

I have never experienced an owner who calls you and yells at you about an engineer you’re not even working with. Idk what the problem is or what but the hostility she has is soooo unprofessional. Don’t deal with Shanti. It’s a waste of time

Great little studio with fantastic engineers who really care about you getting the sound you want from your recording. And the grand piano is a huge bonus! 😉

Called them to see if they are use to recording hip hip / r&b artist. The rep lied and said yes they did. Didn’t have ANY plug ins we needed. The engineer didn’t know what he was doing with my artist song you could tell they’re not used to his style of music. Not smoke friendly.. if u smoke but we wasn’t worried bout that part too much. After a Little over a hr we decided we would cut the time bc it took forever to get his sound and vibe was not there..which still was a little off so I let the engineer know..but they basically said we could finish the session or just take it as a lost of our money and time really..Only reason I gave 2 because the engineer TRIED and space was nice but the vibe wasn’t there. Future references ..see if you can check out the vibe and space before booking!

Incredible studio with the latest equipment and Steinway piano. The owner Shantih is so calm and professional! The open mic sessions with the band were terrific. I don't need to go to LA anymore to get the best. Laura

They have done 2 free karaoke nights since November. You go, pick a song, then step into a recording studio! The other people who will be singing can see you (on a TV that's patched to a tiny camera in the booth) and hear you (speakers from the engineers computer). $15 for a CD of your track!!

Last nights open mic event at Studio 770 was a blast! Thank you Shantih Haast for having this idea and continuing to provide such a great way to record with pro musicians in a state-of-the-art studio setting. Plus, it's a wonderful way to meet cool people!. Always a joy to get to play with Ron Kobayashi on piano, Sam Montooth on bass and Dave Anderson who played drums. A big thanks to studio engineer Troy Ambroff and all of the staff there. ?✌?❤
