This place is beautiful. I can’t speak on the parking, I was dropped off via cab my first visit, and used the LRT (stop is on the same block) my second. The outside of the building is brilliant, and just as captivating once inside. 8 galleries among the 3 floors, and a beautiful terrace with a rare view of the city. There is a wide winding staircase, or elevators to accommodate you. I appreciate how they curate the exhibits, and galas (though I have only been to one). The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have art in all forms- canvas, sculpture, multimedia, pottery, wood, etc. They celebrate artists of all backgrounds and nationalities, with special attention to Canada. The gala ‘Nocturne’ was amazing, I’m sure similar events here are just as memorable. They have so many events and exhibitions to choose from, and appeal to all ages and interests. There is so much beauty and history in these walls. They offer memberships, discounts, and free admission day/tjmes. A rare gem in this city. Will definitely be returning.

A very diverse art space, many different spaces around 3 floors. Go out to the balcony in third floor. Enjoy the stairs and the natural lighting, courtesy of architect Randall Stout.

Love this gallery. The architecture is wonderful. Interesting to look at from every angle. I visit it every time I go to Edmonton. I went on Canada Day this year during an annual art festival called “The Works”. It is an outdoor event with displays and work set up as well as activities for children and music in the public area by City Hall and the Art Gallery. Great spot. Both the gallery and city hall were open for viewing art also. Even the fountain in front of City Hall is designed for people to cool off in the summer. Entrance was free during this event to the gallery. Worth the visit every time.

This art gallery turned out to be the opposite of what I expected. There is mostly modern art, which I don't like and there is not much to see there. I personally recommend visiting this place only if you like or understand modern art. I think this place is overrated and not really worth going. At least it costs not that much. For me, it wasn't that good. Maybe someone else will find more interest in this place. Btw it has an accessible entrance.

Made a day trip from Calgary to catch the Tom Thomson exhibit before it closed. It’s an incredible exhibition, so many paintings, well arranged, with a few different themes. It was really a treat to be able to see them all together. I’m glad I got a membership last year!

Despite the main floor not having exhibits due to things being set up, I had a lovely and relaxing day exploring the gallery. I was also appreciative to see their quick and prompt acknowledgements of Alex Janvier’s passing.
