This was a most amazing musical experience that completely lifted my spirits and drew people together! The music was fantastic, the energy electric, the food delicious and the love flowing! Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, performers, vendors and guests who shared positive vibes all weekend. So grateful and blessed that I was able to be in Edmonton for this! Cocktails and Jerk Festival made being in Edmonton, because of the wildfires in the NT and being evacuated, just a little easier. Bless up!

Loved being at cocktails and jerk festival yesterday! To those saying that everything was delayed... executing a large event is not an easy thing to do! There are many moving pieces and unexpected hurdles to jump. Organizers, bartenders, and food vendors want to give you a great experience, there is no intentional malice from people trying to offer you a good time. They got through, and provided an amazing event at the end of the day.

The bartenders were literally swarmed by wasps and were still showing up and providing amazing drinks. The sliders - delicious. Offering a $10 voucher with ticket purchase was great, and the music was so so good. Everyone was up dancing by the time the sun went down, and this is a beautiful expression of the Caribbean community, with some nods to Latino cultures as well.

This music and community needs more spaces in Edmonton, and a one night festival in the middle of summer, (that shuts down within proper quiet hours) is so needed and adds to our Strathcona community. I'm glad this festival is slowly growing and I hope it continues to spread the energy to others.

Very disappointed in event organizers.

Eventbrite page said event starts at 2pm. We got there at 3:15 and it still wasn't open. Doors opened at 4pm, but event still wasn't ready to go. Our tickets came with $10 drink/food vouchers and we were looking forward to trying the cocktails. But by 5:30pm the drinks still weren't available due to having no payment machine. So we used our vouchers to get jerk sliders and left. The sliders were tiny for $10.

We went for the kids things. There was a bouncy castle and face painting. The rest was bean bag toss and chalk.

The performers were amazing. We really enjoyed Sangea Academy and DJ Set. And the face painter was excellent at her job!

Seemed very disorganized. I wanted to try the cocktails. Arrived at 4. Left at 6 drinks were still not being served. Dancers were very cool
