Recently, my daughter worked with Brendan and John. My daughter has an insatiable appetite for all things music. She is a guitarist and a vocalist. I thought it would be a good idea to show her a side of music I am not familiar with, recording a song in a proper studio, with professionals. How lucky are we that Glen Cove Sound Studios is right here in town.
John and Brendan welcomed us on my daughters musical adventure. Their talent and knowledge level is immediately noticeable with the comfortable and easy way they are able to communicate their processes. Brendan worked with my daughter, helping her fully shape a beautiful song. Working with her every step of the way, he was able to put together the lyrics with the perfect music for the sound she was looking for. The material was perfectly teed up for John to engineer. His talent can not be understated. The finished product was completed in a very short amount of time, is radio ready, and we could not be happier with the results. John and Brendan offered their services with flexible schedules and made sure my daughter was happy with the results before moving on to the next step. My friends and I traveled across the country just to record at Cove City Sound Studios. When Richie called me on the phone to see what my project was all about I could tell just in his voice alone that these guys genuinely care about making great music. When we arrived Richie and John welcomed us with open arms, we toured the building and talked about the history behind Cove City and the amazing musicians that still come today. Richie made us feel like family before we even punched record.

As far as the session goes, this was my first time recording in a bigger recording studio and I was extremely nervous. John helped walk me through the recording process, gave insight, and ideas for my song, and helped me walk out a better recording artist because of it.

John Arbuckle mixed and mastered our song as well and the end result literally blew my mind. I've never heard something so high quality. My friends and I could all tell that both John and Richie wanted nothing but the best for all of us.

When we took a leap of faith to travel from the North West to New York and record it was extremely intimidating and exciting all at once. I had a feeling though, deep down, that this was going to be worth it, and it truly was.

Making the best music you possibly can make is always the goal, but when you can do that and make some great friends along the way, that's even better.

I highly recommend no matter where you are to book your next session at cove city sound studios. You will not regret it.

Amazing space with experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate engineers. Super professional, with engaged feedback and detail like asking if you like a particular mic or tape to find a sound. And most importantly, not afraid to disagree while providing reason, whilst maintaining respect that won’t push past your opinions on how you might want something mixed.

Place is clean, with no smoking because we’re here to work. Well ventilated too, not at all stuffy like a lot of places. Lot of history on the walls too.

This studio is the candy store for singers & musicians. Top quality sound and an exceptional team. John and Brendan are perfectionists. I had a great experience. My song sounds amazing! It's a 2 hour drive for me, but I'll be back!
