402 was the perfect lil room for me. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets were clean and crisp. The shower was hot and plentiful. The room looked over the street, and had beautiful large windows that opened inward. I was able to open them and hear the pleasant hum of the street. There was a nice kettle in the room as well as a nespresso coffee machine and a small refrigerator. Yes the room was smaller, but it was big enough for one person. I was able to put away my belongings in the closest and stow my carryon luggage on the top shelf of the closest. This freed up the limited floor space. I stayed 6 days, my room was freshened up each of those days. Only disappointed thing was they did not replace the coffee pod, they did replace the tea, and the condiments but not the coffee. They provided one coffee pod, and one decaf, one chamomile and one English breakfast tea bag. In fairness I did not bother anyone and request another; I found it as reason to get out of the room and enjoy a local cafe. ||My stay was very pleasant.

I loved my stay here. The staff were very friendly, the location was excellent, the access to my room was exceptionally easy, and the accommodations were good quality and comfortable. The bed was fantastic! One warning is the older sewer connection means one is best served to cover the shower drain with the bathmat when not in use to block gases. I assume many people don’t know this and thus miss out on a wonderful experience.
The neighborhood is perfect. High quality, inexpensive bakery very close, and it stays open pretty late. Many good restaurants, groceries & pharmacy, and modes of transportation nearby.
I will stay here again.

A small and friendly hotel in a quiet residential area, very convenient for the metro.||Room was an ok size (by Paris standards), modern, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable - loved the pillows (which is unusual for me as I'm very fussy when it comes to pillows!). Quiet room at the back but can easily hear corridor noise.||Small bathroom but modern and clean, very good shower.||Room facilities included very fast wifi, desk and mini fridge.

The location worked out perfect as it was close to the metro and many restaurants. It's a walkable safe area. The room was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. The best part was the big soft towels. |The staff was very nice, helpful and attentive. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

I stayed at Hotel Sophie Germain during a work trip and had a wonderful experience. The room was cosy, very clean, and comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood yet conveniently located with easy access to transport and local spots. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. Overall, a great place to stay in Paris — I’ll definitely be returning!

I had a disappointing overall experience. My first room was on the ground floor, directly facing the reception desk, which already felt unusual, and I could hear the lobby music and guests talking. The window also opened onto the sidewalk, making it even noisier.
I asked to change rooms, and the host was very kind and accommodated my request. However, the new room wasn’t much better: I found a hair in the bathroom, the furniture felt old and worn, there were large burn marks on the bedside table, the bathroom walls were damaged and the tv remote didn’t work.
On the positive side, the staff did keep my luggage for a few hours, they accepted a package on my behalf, and the hotel’s location is convenient.
Overall, I was quite disappointed considering the price (around $200).

Had a wonderful day at Hotel Sophie Germain. The location was excellent and the service was helpful and friendly. Clotilde was especially helpful after we accidentally left a laptop under the bed and only realized it after we had boarded our train to Luxembourg. I contacted her right away and she had it placed in a safe to keep it secure until we could return to pick it up. When we arrived to retrieve it, she remembered us and, after confirming with our ID, we were able to get it back. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a clean, friendly, affordable option in a great location in Paris.

The hotel is in a strategic location, just a few meters from the metro station on line 4. The neighborhood is very nice, with many restaurants and shops. The room is small but cozy and clean. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful
