If you’re a simple traveller who’s out most of the day, then this hotel will work for you. It’s affordable, clean, and is near a bus and metro station. It also has room service everyday to for the sheets and towels. There is a shared bathroom with my situation but I never had issues with it. This hotel provides the basics of what you need. As for the noise people say, I was lucky that my floor was high enough I couldn’t hear the traffic. I will mention though that the location looks sketchy but just be aware of your surroundings and don’t tarry. I was coming back late at night as a solo female and didn’t have problems.

Our experience at this hotel was deeply disappointing from the moment we arrived. Despite having booked and fully paid for a “Cabrio” room with a private bathroom months in advance, we were informed at check-in that there was a “technical problem” and were placed in a different room type without a private bathroom. The staff provided no clear explanation, showed no empathy, and offered no apology or solution — their attitude throughout our stay was by far the most frustrating part of the experience.

The first night was particularly difficult due to my disability, as using a shared bathroom during the night felt unsafe and uncomfortable. After repeated conversations with three different staff members, we were finally moved to the room type we had booked, but only on the second night. Once in the correct room, the stay was acceptable, although there were still issues: the shower had almost no pressure when using hot water, and the curtain was damaged and did not fully close.

We filed a formal complaint after our stay. To their credit, the hotel responded quickly and agreed to refund the first night — something that was the bare minimum given the situation. However, I believe a further gesture would have been appropriate considering the stress and inconvenience we experienced.

I want to note that I have stayed at F1 hotels several times in the past and have always been very satisfied, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. The surrounding area also felt unsafe and dirty, with significant noise, shouting, and disturbances late at night, including from a nearby nightclub — though I understand this is beyond the hotel’s control.

In short, the facilities themselves are acceptable for a budget hotel, but the handling of the situation and the unhelpful, indifferent attitude of the staff left a very negative impression.

Eventhough the prises are low we expected more. The toilets were awful and for the whole floor were only 3 toilets, two of them were always closed. When you closed the door for the toilet the light turned off immediately and you had to use a flashlight. The showers were pretty good and the room was clean. You need to walk around 10 minutes to get to the metro station and the way is a bit scary.

Quite embarassing. The area is not good, the "hotel" is even worse. It has security guard 24/7 , you can imagine. It's well connected to the center, buses are close , tube is at 10 mins walk. I found rigid beds comfy. Beds were clean. The design is nice and colourful. It's not that it's cheap but it's not very clean, shared bathrooms need restoration as some toilets are broken. Men women or feel like, together. Sinks are so small you wet around. Showers floors are not steep correctly so the water stood on the floor and you couldn't easily dress up without wetting your clothes. The toilet close to my "room" shared with my corridor was broken so everyone had to go the toilets shared with all the floor and when they were cleaning (twice a day) you could change floor....if it isn't all occupied as wcs are a few. You have to prepare beds by yourself and they don't provide sheets with elastic. When they change sheets you have to redo your beds and they leave your pijamas in a not gentle way on the bed all wrapped up. No shower towel, no soap, dispenser were empty. The staff doesn't speak English, at the reception it wasn't an understandable English. Breakfast is only mediterranean and it's not great quality (fake nutella and dry croissants), the tools and stuff for breakfast are so spread around that you end up going around the hall until you collect a spoon, a sugar cube, butter and so. Nice that they have at the entrance some vending machines with food and some needs and a microwave that is so dirty that it smells burnt when on. The street outside is noisy at night, the view is the worst ever: an abandoned square of the "hotel" with some left stuff that mice enjoyed every night!!!! What I find intolerable is that they have a 360 webcam in the anti-toilets where sinks and mirrors are.

I was a bit skeptical about this hotel since many reviews were negative, but upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised. My room was a cabrio room with a private bathroom and shower. The water pressure was good, everything was clean, and if you need extra pillows or blankets, the front desk is happy to provide them.

The hotel also has a canteen. Breakfast wasn’t included in my booking, but you can purchase it at the front desk and show the receipt to enter.

As for the location, it is true that the area has some homeless camps a few blocks away, and I noticed a few people around during the day (none at night and not directly near the hotel). That said, the location is actually quite convenient, with transportation options about a 5–10 minute walk away.

Overall, the stay turned out much better than I expected.

We had a wonderful time at your hotel. Thank you for sorting out our rooms. They were so comfortable, clean and provided what we needed. The staff are so friendly too. It was so accessible to bus and metro station. the view of the Eiffel Tower from our window was a bonus and really made my daughter really happy.

Whenever we travel by train from the Netherlands to southern Europe and we need to break up the journey in Paris, we choose to stay at F1 because it’s very affordable. Staff here as well was friendly! There’s a lot of floors and rooms but since there’s 3 elevators there’s never a long wait. Room was basic but comfortable and clean. There’s no AC so personally wouldn’t stay there during summer. We had the cheapest room, with a shared bathroom, but that still came with a sink in the room which was great. Three power outlets. Only downsides - the two bins in the room were not clean, a bit sticky, probably because they don’t use bin bags. And the shared toilets flushed horribly! After flushing 3 times there was still toilet paper floating to the top.

!!!MUST READ THIS REVIEW!!! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! BED BUGS!!

Myself and my partner booked 4 nights in this hotel, and ended up in a shoebox of a room covered in busy wallpaper. Not only that, we found out after leaving that it had BED BUGS!!!.

The mattress was genuinely rock solid, and left us taking solpadeine (mega painkillers) for the rest of the holiday, and there was two lousy pillows that were flatter then the crepe you can buy around the corner.

From the room we were in (127) every 10 minutes it sounded like a large door under the room was banging throughout the entire night.

It's right beside a busy road so if you keep the window open that is all you will hear

There is no ventilation so keeping the window closed over night left your lips looking like a raisin with a throat as dry as the Sahara.

The area around it smells like piss (urine) and does not feel safe. PLEASE, consider spending the extra €100/150 and stay somewhere else for your own good.

If you are staying purely for the markets, just get the 13 metro to Garabaldi and it leaves you right there.

I hope this review saves your holiday! Unlike ours.
