A wonderful stay at Smugglers Cove Inn. Michael and Rita are outstanding hosts -- they treated us like family and Michael even gave us a walking tour of the area that was spectacular. A real community feel, thanks to them! And the room, overlooking the harbor, was a perfect vantage point.

The room was decorated so perfectly with a peek view of the harbour. The decor included some beautifully quilted pillows, and I found out the owner’s mother had done them all. How sweet and romantic is that The decor also included two comfy armchairs and the bed was very comfortable. We wanted to enjoy some wine in our room and asked for wine glasses. They were promptly brought up - in under five minutes! The owners Micheal and Rita greeted us with a smiles and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome in their hotel and their community. When we were checking out Micheal found out we were doing a carriage ride tour of the town and he offered us a place where we could park for free and then said “I will take some pictures of you when the tour goes by.” He then emailed us the photos as a momento of our trip. We were so touched by their kindness. I definitely recommend a stay in this lovely couples accommodations. Thank you Micheal and Rita!

Had a very enjoyable overnight trip to Lunenburg staying here. Bed was comfortable and pillows good too. Very friendly couple own and run the place. Right in the heart of town so can walk to everything. Would stay here again!

2 nights in this delightful hotel right in the heart of historic Lunenburg. Very comfortable king room with balcony , almost silent but very effective air con . Next door to bakery which is excellent when open but does not open as it’s displayed opening times state . Which was a negative as the hotel recommended it and we planned an early breakfast at their displayed opening time of 7 am : seems they don’t bother to open till 8-8.30 so imagine that business won’t last long ! |Therefore my only negative comment about the hotel is that reception recommend the bakery knowing how unreliable they are . |Nevertheless delightful hotel , lovely friendly and helpful staff

What a quaint and beautiful gem this is in Lunenberg! My family of 4 and a dog needed a place to stay very late, it was after 10pm and the owner was so accommodating and nice! We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and found his hospitality so nice. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Smugglers Cove Inn. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, providing a perfect base for exploring the charming town of Lunenburg. The staff were friendly and informative, offering helpful recommendations that made our visit even more enjoyable. After a day of exploring, we loved sitting on the wharf, listening to live music and soaking in the atmosphere. Overall, a great experience, and we’d happily return.

Smugglers Cove Inn is conveniently located in downtown Lunenburg NS with close access to restaurants and shops. The hotel was average. I would recommend clarifying on booking if you are in the main inn or across the street in the Concordia Inn. We were not aware that we were booked across the street in a much run down building. The sheets were pilled and scratchy, the ceilings were water stained and peeling, and the window blinds did not close. Our sink did not drain well and had no plug. This is not a 4 star hotel - I cannot speak to the Smugglers Inn building - however the Concordia needs major upgrades.

Great location and friendly staff. Bed was comfortable but room was not very clean. We had to switch rooms twice because both ac units in each room were filled with black mold.
